And we proclaim Him, … that we may present every man complete in Christ.” ~ Col. 1:28

Studies in:

The Gospel of John

“To study Jesus is to study God.”

Join us as we examine the life and teachings of Jesus, verse-by-verse, within the historical narrative of John’s Gospel.

Our Lord’s Day Text:

John 7:37-39

37 Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, "If any man is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink.

38 "He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, 'From his innermost being shall flow rivers of living water.'"

39 But this He spoke of the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive; for the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

As a church we are committed to:

·       Careful interpretation

·       Faithful proclamation

·       Practical application of God’s holy Word

BOOK OF THE MONTH

The Almost Christian Discovered
by Matthew Mead

In the spirituality and language of the Puritans, Matthew Mead wrote this book over 300 years ago addressing the need for spiritual self-examination (2Cor.13:5).  He was a pastor with a concern for the church and a frustration for those who claimed to be Christians but showed themselves lazy or indifferent in spiritual matters.   He argues like a lawyer, taking spiritual inventory and digging deep to expose the fooled in conscience.  The weak should read it with caution expecting to be challenged and strengthened.  The strong should read it to be humbled and encouraged.  The almost Christian should read it to be discovered.

This resource is recommended by our pastor for spiritual growth and learning and is available at www.cbd.com

We exist for the purpose of glorifying God through the exaltation of Christ by the power of His Holy Spirit. All this is accomplished as we are equipped through the faithful exposition of God's Word on a regular basis and the applying of His truths to our lives. Please come and join us as we magnify His name in worship.
