Who are we?

Cape Cod Bible Church is a church made up of believers in Jesus Christ committed to obedience, submission, and loyalty to Him. We come from various areas of the community centered on the Bible’s teachings for doctrine and practice. We have single young adults, families with young children, single parents, empty nesters, and retirees. Our ages range from the mid-80’s to newborns. We are a true cross-section of the communities we live in.

Why are we here?

Several Christians who had a desire to know the Bible better and who wanted to learn more about their God and Savior, Jesus Christ formed this local assembly in 1989. Their purpose in starting a new church was to provide a place to learn and grow and minister in accordance with the truths God has made known in His Word, the Bible. It has been the goal of CCBC to teach with doctrinal purity and theological accuracy and to apply it to our individual lives by God’s grace through the power of His Holy Spirit. In meeting together corporately, it provides us with the opportunity to stimulate, encourage and hold each other accountable to God’s standards of holy living and biblical beliefs.

What do we believe?

CCBC is a conservative, Bible centered church. We hold to the Reformed doctrines of grace, are Baptistic in practice, and teach classical Christian doctrines.

*We believe that the Bible is the only verbally inspired, infallible, authoritative, inerrant in it’s original, Word of God (2Tim.3:16; 2Pet.120-21). It is authoritative, central, and necessary for life and godliness.

*We believe there is only one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son & Holy Spirit (Deut.6:4, Mrk 12:29; John 1:1, 1:14, 10:30; 14:16, 15:26, 14-15)

*We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His vicarious and atoning death, His resurrection, His ascension into heaven and personal return to glory (Col.2:9; Isa.7:14 Lk. 1:34-35; Mt.20:28, 1Pt.2:24, 2Cor.5:21; 1Cor.15; Jn 16:28, Acts.1:10-11).

*We believe in the absolute necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation, and that justification before God is solely on the basis of faith in the substitutionary death of Christ, His resurrection from the dead, and that faith is the work of God’s grace (Titus 3:5, Rms.5:1, 10:9-10; Eph.2:1-10).

*We believe Jesus Christ will physically return to earth to judge the living and the dead (Acts1.10-11; Mt. 16:27; Lk.21:27, 2Tim.4:1).

*We believe in a literal heaven and hell (Jn.5:29; Mt.19:29, Col. 1:5, 2Tm. 4:8; Dan.12:2, Mt.25:46, Lk.16:19-31).

*We believe that man’s chief end is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever (1Cor.10:31; Col.3:17; Ps.18:46; 104:1).
